Stepping Beyond Stereo 3D Into 4D

Movies that are shown in 4D consist of experiences that combine stereo 3D images with altered sensual perception. These added effects may deal with senses like taste or smell. Such theaters may, for instance, have some smoke appear in front of viewers to coincide with the on-screen character moving through a dark and gloomy jungle. They may also have certain smell altered to reflect what is happening on the screen. These are just some examples of what would constitute as a 4D viewing.
