4D is about to hit some cinemas after being developed by a Japanese firm. The fourth dimension involves cinemagoers being sat in a motion-sensor chair that sees them feel during the film. This is an experience that, if a success, could be replicated in homes the world over. However, as 3D is still a relatively new innovation, there’s no reason to put those tacky 3D glasses in the bin just yet.
