Are you living on the US east coast this week-end? If yes, try to shoot some "Hurricane Irene" 3D stereoscopic videos! Follow the four steps guide here under and publish your movie on YouTube 3D!   ...

 

3) Start shooting one or two minutes sequences. Alternate between shots with a fixed viewpoint and slow pans following the wind direction. If your camera has a zoom, try various settings, but don't zoom too far as the 3D will suffer.

IMAX extravaganza with bird's eye views of the capital city to be screened for next 5-10 years on 35 screens around world.

[Patent Filing] Apple invents privacy eyewear for confidential information, gaming

Apple has applied for a patent to cover a great new invention that would allow users to wear specially designed eyewear to view confidential information while using their mobile devices. ...

The gist of how this is works is that a user can set the device, be it an iPhoneiPad, or notebook, to privacy mode, wherein the software would allow the option of obfuscating the information displayed on the screen. The glasses would decipher the display so that any potential onlookers would only see a scrambled mess, whereas the user would see the entire message.  ...

Gamers may get the most out of this invention, though. The patent application suggests that not only are these privacy glasses good for concealing information, they can also be used to initiate 3D technology as well as allow multiplayer games to be viewed by several competing players, processing different information from each.  ...

KDDI Labs demos 3D Virtual Sound Technology

KDDI Labs has developed 3D audio technology that lets you change your listening position in a 3D space. Multiple microphones are used to record the audio and a unique method of audio signal processing, called virtual sound source reproduction, is used to map out the sound in a virtual 3D space in real time. This can generate an unlimited number of listening positions, even in locations where there are no microphones. This technology also lets you change where sounds come from or remove them from the 3D space altogether.

There are rumors that I have done gimmick and not done 3D for the film. For one song and one fight it is 3D presentation and purposefully the facility was not given on the first day because the fans might tamper the expensive spectacles. I have spent Rs.1.75 crores for one song and one fight in the 3D technology and Regional Censor board has also given certificate saying the film is partly 3D informed Prem.

ISS ‘naut shoots first ever 3D footage in space

At last something to watch on 3D telly. ...

As the vid was beamed down from the ISS earlier this month, ground controllers in Holland revelled in the immersive orbital imagery. ...
