Super Ventures launched Wednesday as a combined incubator and $10 million investment fund dedicated to augmented reality. The firm said in a statement it will back startups developing technologies that “give people superpowers by augmenting the human experience.” Super Ventures also announced investments in Waygo, a visual translation app specializing in Asian languages, and Fringefy, a visual search engine.
“Our team will take a hands-on approach with the startups, leveraging our industry experience, research knowledge and networks to help them meet their goals while part of the incubator,” added Professor Mark Billinghurst.
