Acer to help build StarVR virtual reality headset

150528_STAR-VR_Reveal_TeaserThe VR headset, first unveiled at E3 2015, is a bit different to its competitors as it offers a 210-degree field of view, which provides full immersion around the viewer's peripheral vision. That trumps other headsets, which tend to max out at around 100-degrees. It also has a whopping 2560x1440 pixels per eye and comes replete with all manner of position tracking features.

“By partnering with Acer we shift gears yet again to firmly position us as the leader in top-end VR experiences,” says Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint.
