SCA has partnered with Lab4242, a virtual reality development company, to produce SpaceLAB – an app that allows retailers to walk through their supermarkets, move past shelves, take photos and place or remove products, all in a virtual environment. This makes shelf management planning more efficient.
Justin Hazendonk, Customer Marketing Manager, who has been involved in the project since the beginning elaborates: "We have developed a solution that really matters to our retailers' businesses. Before SpaceLAB, it took retailers a lot of time – and money – to design a planogram. With the development of SpaceLAB, the process is streamlined by ensuring the shelf planning is right from the start."
SpaceLAB has so far launched in the Netherlands.
