Industry of Virtual Reality Alliance
The Industry of Virtual Reality Alliance (IVRA), instructed through Electronic Information Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology directives, is a industry coalition made possible through the efforts of China Center for Information Industry Development, State key laboratory of virtual reality technology and system of Beihang University, HTC, GoerTek and Wisesoft among the top virtual reality industry leaders and institutes. The alliance dedicates its resources in providing solutions to the VR industry's key unsolved questions, such as the ecosystem priorities, industry standardization, industrial chain agreements, transference of technology results, and the critical support of innovation, it also serves to advise governmental institutes in directing further developments in the near 3-5 years.
The IVRA vows to uphold principles of 'openness, cooperation, equality, reciprocation' in its mission to bring down industrial obstacles and stimulate developments in areas such as hardware, software, content, platforms along the industrial chain. Nine directives are put in place which includes: VR industry standardization, laying down the "VR Industry Development Instruction", cultivating a VR industry research base, advising key application, establishing industrial investment funds, training and education for VR industry talents, introducing global forums and exhibitions, as well as global VR developer events.
