Dobrik has piled up more than 3 billion views on YouTube and attracted 9 million subscribers there. He also has a huge presence on the hottest social-media platform, Instagram, with 5.9 million followers, another 2.6 million on Twitter, as well as a presence on Snapchat. Koshy is even more popular, with 16.1 million YouTube followers17.4 million on Instagram, and 2.9 million on Facebook.

Other nominees include names likely known even to the most out-of-touch parents of Dobrik and Koshy fans, including the WWE, NBA star Kevin Durant, actor/comedian Kevin Hart (for his sports series Cold As Balls) and long-time political talk show the Young Turks, which received three nominations, including for Show of the Year.
