Fox’s Unconventional Marketing Campaign For Ang Lee’s ‘Life Of Pi’
Last week we reported that exclusive scenes from Ang Lee’s Life of Pi were been shown in front of 3D showings for Fox movies. Prometheus was the first, and more scenes will be shown when Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter hits theaters later this month. Now I am kind of upset at myself for not watchingPrometheus in 3D.
It’s a new strategy for the studio to get audiences interested in the movie. They haven’t even shown a teaser trailer yet. I haven’t heard any reactions to these clips so I can’t make any real judgments. Perhaps it’s because the audience didn’t know what Life of Pi is to begin with.
But as Fox continues to push this new way to market the film, the studio has released a very brief clip from Life of Pi. Check it out below.
