Can You Escape Your Fate?Sadly, especially in the UK, the greater your ambition the more likely you are to fail, and whilst we, as a society are improving, our culture around failure is nothing compared to the Americans who are encouraged to dare to dream big. Blippar was one of those outliers, but despite the painful recent outcome, Jess is clearly addicted to that taste.
"The Blippar experience gave me a taste of the rocket ship trajectory that great tech and visionary ideas can enjoy - and the significant potential that growth businesses have to disrupt behaviours and improve lives. I’m frankly greedy for that now", she says, in an excited yet blunt, honest tone.
"I’m only interested in businesses with global potential - but they are, by their nature, high risk. They require deep pocket investment and are fraught with stress - higher highs, lower lows and of course, the constant risk of spontaneous combustion. I wouldn’t change anything about my Blippar experience. Go big, or go home".
